Labour Source

   YZEDZ has a good labour source on the basis of a good education Yangzhou offers.Yangzhou University--a key comprehensive university in Jiangsu Province, has 7 colleges of about 15,000 students majoring in 99 subjects,51 departments ,51 research institutes and 316 labs.In addition,Yangzhou has 9 two-year special scondary schools,15 technical schools and 69 vocational schools.There are lots and lots of skilled workers available,such as in automobile industrial, shipping industriaal,diesal engine industrial,electronics, air-conditioning industrial, container- making industrial,chemical industrial,light industrial,textile industrial, machine- building industrial and building-and installment industrial.Investors are free to advertise for skilled workers.

Employment and Dismissal of Staff and Workers in Foreign-funded Enterprises:
Foreign-funded enterprises have the power to set up organizations, regulate the size of personnel force, and recruit and use their work force, in the light of the need of production and management. They may advertise within  the boundaries of Yangzhou for the desired staff and workers in Yangzhou Personnel Exchange Ccnter or employment agencies through recruitment cxaminations conducted by the enterprises. They may invite the applications from the non-native workers and staff, provided that they fail to advertise for thcir desired personnel within the boundaries of Yangzhou, yet their plan of employment must be subjected to the approval of the sector of labour and personnel. Students and other personnel that state policies forbid employing must not be recruited and employed.
The employed workers and staff are required to sign labour contracts before they are employed by foreign-funded enterprises. Labour contracts should stipulate that the employees must go through probation period or professional training which last three to six months before they go through formalities with regards to emplovment.
Foreign-funded enterprises have the power to dismiss unqualified workers or staff on probation and punish,dismiss or even expel workers or staff according to the seriousness of their cases. In the case of the change or management or production, foreignfunded enterprises have the power to reduce the number of work force but must indemnify them in some way for their economic losses.
Wage Level in Foreign-Funded Enterprises:
The board of a foreign-funded enterprise has the power to decide wage scales, wage forms, incentive structure and allowance according to the production and management of the enterprise. But the total income of the workers and staff of foreign funded enterprises must be 120% more than that of the workers and staff of state-owned enterprises in the same industry in Yangzhou urban district. Their pay scale should also go with the increase of economic benefits.
Fidelity insurance in Foreign-funded Enterprises:
Foreign-funded cnterprises have the duty to pay endowment insurance and unemployment insurance for Chinese workcrs and staff, 25%and l% respectively of their total income.
Work Schedule and Holiday System iu Foreign-funded enterprises:
Foreign-funded enterpriscs effect a 44hour-a~week work schedule with not more than 36 overtime hours per month. Workers and staff do not work for more than 1 overtime hours a day and 3 in exceptional cases.Foreign-funded enterprises have the power to shorten working hours in accordance with specific conditions. Foreign-funded enterprises practise the current vocation system in China, the the employees in the enterprises enjoy national holidays with pay.
