    YZEDZ is a provincial development zone approved by Jiangsu Province Govern -ment.YZEDZ is situated in the siuthwest of Yangzhou,part of New City District,It backs on to the old city proper,with the neew city on to the north,the Grand Canal to the east and the Yangtse River to the south.All its terrain is smooth.

   YZEDZ is 8 kilometers away from the north bank of the Yangtse River,with three expressways connecting the ferries.It is 102 kilometers away from YZEDZ to Nanjing,and 300 kilometers to Shanghai.At present,Jingjiang-jiangyin Yangtse River Bridge is being built.Yangzhou-Zhenjiang Yangtse River Bridge has gone through state feasible plandemonstration and into approval period.An airport 12 kilometers away downtown Yangzhou is going to be built.BUses can go directly to Zzhenjiang Railway Station and Nanjing Railway Station,which are on Beijing-Shanghai Railway.Approved by the State Council , Yangzhou Harbour is open to foreign ships.Now it has one passenger quay,one 10,000-ton floating pier and one 10,000-ton freight dock.The total length of the berth is 496 meters,and the heaping area is 50,000 square meters.
